Kent James Sprague

Kent James Sprague age 88 of Mt. Ida, AR, formerly of Hermleigh, died Tuesday, March 05, 2013 at the Montgomery County Nursing Home in Mt Ida, Arkansas after a lengthy illness.

Graveside services for Mr. Sprague will be held on Thursday, March 07, 2013 at 10 AM at Hermleigh Cemetery with Rev. Clay Giddens officiating under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.

Mr. Sprague was born on October 04, 1924 in Clayton, NY to Milton J. and Katherine (Havens) Sprague. He married Dorothy Irene Wright on March 29, 1976 in Hermleigh, Texas. He was a World War II veteran of the Army Air Force. He was a tail gunner on a B-59. He made missions over Tokyo, Yokahama, Nagoya, and Osaka Japan. He received four American service medals and three OLC's, distinguished flying cross, good conduct medal, and a World War II victory medal. May he rest in peace.

He is survived by:
His wife - Dorothy and four sons and one step-son; Kent, Martin, Lewis, James and step son Joel Roemisch. And two brothers James and Glenn.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Janet and a brother Milton.
