Virginia Dolores Gillum age 86 of Hermleigh, TX, died Tuesday, May 07, 2013 at Snyder Oaks Care Center in Snyder, Texas after a lengthy illness.

Services for Virginia Dolores Gillum will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2013 at 3:00 PM at 37th Street Church of Christ with Mr. Roy Rosson and Mr. Dale Huff officiating. Interment will follow at Snyder Cemetery under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.

Mrs. Gillum was born on July 03, 1926 in Colorado City, TX to Guy Allen and Ada Lee (Carey) Dulin. She married Surry Gillium on June 05, 1947 in Snyder, Texas. Virginia was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ in Dunn. She was involved in church work and taught bible school classes. She was also a substitute teacher at Hermleigh ISD. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and a faithful and loving wife. She was a member of Historic Scurry County and helped with PTA and Boy Scouts.

She was preceded in death by her father on February 22, 1968 and her mother on January 1, 1990; 4 Sisters, Billie Faye Dulin, Jenny Craghead, Verna Neel, and Coryie Carpenter; and 3 Brothers, Guy Roy Dulin, Joe Wilton Dulin, and C.W. Dulin.

No visitation is planned.

Pallbearers will be Louis Garcia, Darrell Bills, Darrell Carpenter, Terry Haggerton, Danny Fenton, Manuel Terrazas, Clint Gillum, Adam Emmert, Stephen Garcia and Belton Drum.
Honorary Pallbearers are Tim Gillum, Chris Steely and Ben Drum
