Juanita Raborn, age 86 of Snyder, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, June 21, 2013 at the Hill Country Care Center in Dripping Springs, after a lengthy illness.
Services for Mrs. Raborn will be held on Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church Chapel with Rev. Darold Baldwin officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Memorial Gardens under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
Mrs. Raborn was born in Waco on January 29, 1927, and raised there. She married William Ed Raborn on October 30, 1943, and they were married for 69 years. They moved to Snyder in 1953 where she was an active member of First Baptist Church for the past 60 years. She is well remembered for her decorated birthday, wedding and special event cakes.
She is survived by her husband, William Ed Raborn of Snyder; one daughter, Wanda Reynolds and her husband Randy of Henly; four sons, Bill Raborn and his wife Kathy of Snyder, Bob Raborn and his wife Karen of Abilene, John Raborn and his wife Sherie of Garden City, Ca., and Sam Raborn of Tyler; one brother Jeff McKinney and his wife Joyce of Salado; ten grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Hester and Mamie Lee McKinney; four sisters, Ruth Smith, Mayme Parker, Myrtle Grace McEver and Dorothy Halloran; and three brothers, W.H. McKinney Douglas McKinney and Robert McKinney.
Visitation will be Monday, June 24, 2013 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home. Online condolences may be posted at www.bellcypertseale.com
