Velma Elder

Velma Elder, age 87, of Snyder, Texas passed away on Saturday, July 20, 2013 in Webster, Texas.

Services will be held on Thursday, July 25th at 2PM at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Hillside Memorial Gardens under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.

There will be family visitation on Wednesday, July 24th at 6 PM at the funeral home.

Mrs. Elder was born on November 15, 1925 to Joe and Robert Stroud in Windom, Texas. She married Lonnie Franklin Elder on October 15, 1948 in Wolfe City, Texas. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three brothers, Bobbie, Carol and Claude Stroud, and two sons, Lonnie Ray and Danny Joe Elder.

She has two surviving daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Jerry Parker of Snyder, Texas and Mary Nell and Philip Kimmel of Houston, Texas. One son, Bruce Elder.

She is also survived by 5 grandsons, 6 granddaughters and 13 great grand children, 5 sisters-in-law, and one brother-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews.
