Fred Valadez Sanchez

Fred Valadez Sanchez, Jr. age 64 of Snyder, TX, died Thursday, July 25, 2013 at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas after a lengthy illness.

Services for Fred Valadez Sanchez, Jr. will be held on Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow at Snyder Cemetery under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.

Mr.Sanchez was born on December 25, 1948 in Snyder, TX to Fred and Carolina (Valadez) Sanchez Sr . He married Thelma Malon on November 13, 1972 in The Philppines.

Mr. Sanchez graduated from Snyder High School in 1969 and shortly thereafter joined the United States Navy. During his 26 years of service, he was awarded numerous medals and decorations including: National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with 2 Bronze stars and Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal. Mr Sanchez retired as an E-7, Chief Damage Controlman with an Honorable Discharge in 1994. He was employed with the Texas Department of Transportation in Snyder for 18 years. He had great love for his family and friends and will be greatly missed.
