Dorotha Allene Heatherington Roemisch

Dorotha Allene Heatherington Roemisch was born on June 1, 1926 in Strawn, Texas and passed away on September 6, 2013 in Abilene, Texas. She was 87 years old.

She was preceded in death by her husband John Albert Roemisch, Jr., her Mother & Father, a brother, John and a sister, Carol.

Dorotha is survived by her three sons, Michael and his wife Nancy, Randy and his wife Cynthia, Ronnie and his wife Joanna, one sister, Virginia Abraham of Benbrook, Texas, nine grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.

Dorotha grew up in Stawn, Texas. She married John Albert Roemisch, Jr on August 12, 1947. They lived on the family farm in Hermleigh, Texas where they raised their three boys. The family moved to Snyder in 1973. She worked for over 35 years as a nurse in Roscoe and Cogdell Memorial Hospital in Snyder helping to deliver a countless number of babies into this world.

Dorotha was a devoted Catholic, a loving mother and grandmother, a supportive wife, a caring sister and daughter, a friend, a farmers wife and a dedicated nurse. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her and we know she is celebrating in Heaven with Jesus and her family.

A Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 8, 2013 from 6PM to 7PM at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home in Snyder, Texas with a rosary to follow at 7PM. Her service will be held on Monday, September 9, 2013 at 10AM at St. John's Catholic Church in Hermleigh, Texas with Father John Chero officiating. Burial will follow at the Hermleigh Cemetery under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
