Billy Earl Roach

Mr. Billy E. Roach age 85 of Snyder, TX, died Saturday, September 14, 2013 at Mitchell County Hospital in Colorado City, Texas.

Services for Mr. Roach will be held on Tuesday, September 17 at 2:00 p.m. Colonial Hill Baptist Church with Dr. Tommy Culwell of Colonial Hill Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow at Colorado City Cemetery under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.

Mr. Roach was born on Thursday, November 10, 1927 in the Seven Wells Community in Mitchell County, Texas to Edward Dupree Roach and Vera Burke Roach. He married Margaret Payne on Wednesday, September 05, 1951 in Lovington, New Mexico. Billy Earl graduated from Colorado City High School in 1944, attended Texas A & M and graduated from Sul Ross University in 1949. He received his Masters in Agriculture from Texas A & M in 1972. He was drafted into the United States Army in January 1951 and was awarded a Korean Service Medal with a bronze star for his superior leadership and performance of his duties. After 31 years of service to the Texas Agriculture Extension Service, he retired in 1983. He pursued a career in selling Crop Insurance and developed a keen interest in golf. He retired from the Crop Insurance business in 1996. He was a member of Colonial Hill Baptist Church and enjoyed attending the Men's early morning Bible Study.
