Floyd Jones Chapman Jr.

Floyd Jones ""Skinny"" Chapman, Jr. age 82 of Snyder, TX, died Thursday, October 10, 2013 at Snyder Healthcare Center.

Graveside services for Mr. Chapman will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Snyder Cemetery with Rev. Jim Wright officiating under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.

Mr. Chapman was born on August 19, 1931 in Arah, TX to Floyd Jones Sr. and Mary Ellen (McMath) Chapman. He went to school in Fluvanna and Snyder. He served two years in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He owned and operated Chapman Chevron in Snyder for 32 years. He married Norma Sue Von Roeder on December 18, 1931 in Arah, Texas. She preceded him in death on December 1, 2008 after 54 years of marriage. He was also preceded in death by his son, Roland Brad Chapman in January of 1986.
