T. L. Griffin Ii

T.L. Griffin II, long time Borden County Rancher, died August 1, 2010 at his home at the age of 85. He was born December 7, 1924 in Olney, Texas.

Tee married Gloria Watson on April 1, 1951. He was a dedicated husband, who adored his wife of 59 years. They were inseparable friends and worked diligently to operate the T2 Griffin Ranches, as well as rear an upstanding and God-fearing family. T.L. was the proud father of 3 children: Lane Griffin and his wife, Dian, of Borden County; Gay Ann Griffin Potter and her husband, Bill, of Bartlesville, OK; and Talley Griffin Brown and her husband, Rob A., of Stinnett, TX. He was also a proud grandfather of 14 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Never one for elaborate ceremonies, T.L. had always wanted to live, die, and be buried at home on the ranch. His wishes were honored by having a family wake, burial and celebration of his great life. The commemoration was conducted by his children and grandchildren followed by burial on August 2, 2010 at the Griffin Family Ranch Cemetery.

4601 Hartford Street, Abilene, TX 79605, which was T.L. and Gloria"s favorite charity.
