Sherie Smith, 54, of The Colony and formerly of Snyder, died Friday August 13 in Cogdell Memorial Hospital after battling cancer for 20 years.

Funeral service for Mrs. Smith will be at 2PM Tuesday at Faith Baptist Church with Pastor Nicky Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Snyder Cemetery under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.

She was born August 10, 1956 in Snyder to Edward and Lilly Mae Phillips. She Married Robbie Smith on August 15, 1974 in Snyder. She was a cosmetologist and enjoyed fishing and playing cards.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Lilly Mae Phillips.

Survivors include her husband Robbie Smith of The Colony, one son and daughter in law- Chase and Crissy Smith of Anna, TX; seven sisters- Brenda Botts and husband Troy of Snyder, TX, Faye Blackledge of Snyder, TX., Bennie Mae Halford of Snyder, TX., Louise Ball and husband Nolan of Snyder, TX., Linda Luna and husbad Adolph of Snyder, TX., Jackie Jenkins and husband Delbert of Snyder, TX., and Debbie Grice and husband Jimmy of Snyder, TX.; two brothers- W.C. McFatridge and wife Nancy of Snyder, TX. and Eddie Phillips of Snyder, TX. Her mother in law and father in law, Jo and Buster Smith of Granbury, TX.; two sisters in law- Karen Koontz and husband Billy of Lubbock, TX. and Ginger Capano and husband Chris of Houston, TX.; five uncles- Bob Smith of Snyder, TX., Kenneth Smith and wife Joyce of Snyder, TX., Richard Hart of Amarillo, TX., Bob Hart and wife Janice of Snyder, TX., and Larry Hart and wife Tarzie of Colombia, MO.; 36 neices and nephews; 45 great neices and nephews; and 10 great great neices and nephews and numerous cousins.
