Furman Dean Branson, former longtime Snyder resident, died Saturday September 18 2010 in Brady, Texas.
Funeral service for Mr. Branson will be at 2PM Monday at Hillside Memorial Gardens with Rev. Jim Drake associate of the First Baptist Church officiating. Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Branson was born to the late Albert Leslie and Cassie Hope (Stegall) Branson on December 29, 1920 in Cotton County Oklahoma. He was married to Sylvia Genelle Loving on August 4, 1947 in Abilene, Tx. She preceded him in death on September 4, 1994. He was a retired supervisor for Halliburton Oil Well Services where he worked for 36 years. Mr Branson was a World War II veteran having served from 1942 to 1946 serving as a medic in the China-India-Burma Theatre.
He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Durelle and Charlie Avery of Lohn, Tx; a son and daughter in law, Bill and Sawanna Branson of Midland; one brother, Joe Gover, Plano ; six grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren
He was preceded by two sisters , Claudia Belle Branson and Lorene Branson Street.
