Calvin Lee Goebel

Calvin Lee Goebel age 59, lifetime Hermleigh and Snyder resident died Friday at Cogdell Memorial Hospital after a lenghy illness.

Funeral Mass for Mr. Goebel will be a 2PM Monday at Saint Elizabeth Catholic Church with Father Roy Badillas officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Memorial Gardens under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home. A rosary and visitation will be held at 7PM at Bell-Cypert-Seale.

Mr. Goebel was born on April 5, 1951 in Sweetwater to the late Roy Alan and Rosemary (Hoepfl) Goebel. Mr. Goebel was married to Karen Bailey on August 7, 1976 in Snyder.
Mr Goebel worked 30 years for Chevron, retiring in August 2003.
In Februay 2004 he went to work for Kender-Morgan as a pipeline operator.

two brothers and sisters in law:
Michael and Kay Goebel, of Hermleigh
Ronnie and Donna Goebel of Colorado City

2 grandchildren:
Tyler and Tyson Burleson

His mother in law:
Jennetta Bailey, of Snyder, Tx

and a number of nieces and nephews:

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Goebel in 1981.
