Ross Carroll, a former Snyder resident died Tuesday in Abilene.
Graveside services for Mr. Carroll, 95, is set for 2
p.m. Thursday at Hillside Memorial Gardens under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home. The Rev. Buddy Payne, pastor of the First United Methodist Church will officiate.
Mr. Carroll was born on July 27 1915 in Red River County.
He was married to Ena Hamrick on March 6, 1939 in Arp Texas. She preceded him on March 1, 2009. The couple lived in Star County for 12 years before moving to Snyder in 1951. He was production foreman for Sun Oil Company and retired in 1982 after 47 years of employment.
A resident of Snyder for 56 years, in 2007 the couple moved to the Wesley Court Retirement Center in Abilene.
He was a former Scurry County Appraisal Board member as well as a member of the First United Methodist Church in Snyder.
In addition to his wife, Ena, he was preceded in death by his parents Ross and Ona Carroll and one brother, J.W.
He is Survived by
2 daughters and one son-in-law;
Janie Carroll of Snyder, Molly and David Kattes of DeLeon and formerly of Snyder; 2 granddaughters and their husbands, Cari and Bryan Limmer of Lubbock and Kelly and Mark Cooper of Frisco. He was a loving "Pop" to five great granddaughters, Baily and Hannah Limmer of Lubbock, Madelyn Stowers, Emily and Allison Cooper of Frisco, and two great grandsons, Griffin and Wife Kayla Limmer of Lubbock and Hudson Ross Cooper of Frisco Also surviving is one sister Bernice Press, Dallas, TX and one brother - Charles Carroll, Garland, TX
Memorial may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 2700 College Avenue, Snyder, Tx 79549. Special thanks go to Dr. Sandy Hazelip, friends and employees of Wesley Court.
Vistatin will be from 6:30 to 7:30 PM Wednesday at Bell-Cypert-Seale.
