Freddie D. Jenkins

Mr. Freddie Jenkins age 64 of Snyder, TX, died Friday, March 18, 2011 after a sudden illness.

Funeral service for Mr. Jenkins will be at 2 PM Monday at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Buddy Payne, pastor officiating. Interment will follow at Hermeligh Cemetery under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Funeral Home.

Mr. Freddie Jenkins was born in Naples Tx to the late Elba Bryson Jenkins and Willie Ester (Powell) Jenkins on October 06, 1946.

Mr. Jenkins had resided in Snyder since the early 50"s. He was a Vietnam War veteran having served in the Army Infantry in an Long Range Reconnasaince Patrol(LRRP) Unit. He was also an honorary Ranger and a member of the VFW.

He was married to Sherry Fritz on September 20, 1969 in Hermleigh. He was employed by Kinder Morgan as an operator of one of the operations plants. Prior to Kinder-Morgan he had worked for the American Magnesium Plant, Diamond M , and Monsanto. He was a member of the Scotish Rite and Scurry Lodge 706.

He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 5 PM to 6 PM on Sunday at Bell-Cypeert-Seale.
