Tommie Mcginty

Mrs. Tommie McGinty age 97 of Kingsland, TX,and former longtime Snyder resident died Thursday, May 05, 2011 at Round Rock Medical Center.

Services for Mrs. McGinty will be at 2PM Friday at Snyder Cemetery with Rev. Larry McAdenh officiating. Interment will follow at Snyder Cemetery under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Funeral Home.

Mrs. McGinty was born on, March 19, 1914 in Gustine Texas to the late William Samuel and Margaret Ida Floyd Rogers. She moved to Snyder from Gustine in 1923. She married Shade McGinty on February 3, 1934 in Snyder. He died on January 4, 1990. Mrs. McGinty worked in the housekeeping department at Cogdell Memorial Hospital for eighteen years. She was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Snyder.

a son and daughter in law,
Buster & Mary McGinty, Buchanan Dam, TX
1 Brother
Newt Rogers, Andrews, TX
11 Grandchildren and numerous great and great great
grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband Mrs. McGinty was preceded in death by 2 grandsons; Darrell Ashley and John McGinty; a great granddaughter, Nikki Ashley; a son-in-law, Kenneth Ashley; a sister, Mary Pearson; and three brothers, Jeff Rogers, Wade Rogers and Doc Rogers.
