Rachel Rogers Mcdonald

Rachel Rogers McDonald age 101 of San Diego, California, passed away on June 16, 2011 at her granddaughter"s home in Santa Barbara, CA.
Mrs. McDonald was born May 11, 1910 in Wapanucka, OK to the late James Sylvester and Rebecca Viola (Fair) Knight . When Rachel was 4 years old they moved to West Texas. Rachel was married to Marvin Rogers in 1926 and he preceded her in death on December 9, 1974. She later married George McDonald who also preceded her in death in 1995.
She was also preceded in death by her son, Curtis Rogers in 1996.
Rachel was a longtime Scurry County resident prior to moving to California. Mrs. McDonald owned and operated Rachel"s House of Fashion from 1962-1980 in Snyder. Rachel will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Rachel is survived by her three granddaughters, Joyce Lyke of Carmel, CA, Cyndi Silverman of Santa Barbara, CA and Ellen Cajka of Manhattan Beach, CA. Rachel had 5 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

Funeral service for Mrs. McDonald will be at 2:00 PM Saturday in the Bell-Cypert-Seale Chapel with Rev. Billy Hudnall officiating.
Interment will follow in Hillside Memorial Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Funeral Home.
