Earl Roy Benz passed from this life to be with his Lord on October 25, 2011.

He was born March 24, 1931 in Saratoga, Texas to the late Benjamin Junior and Mary Agnes (Ambrose) Benz.

Roy lived in Texas for his first nine years, then moved with his parents and family to Oklahoma City. He resided there and raised his family there until 1991. In July 1991 he came to live in Snyder, Texas.

He was employed by American Trailers for twenty three years until the business closed. He was a deacon at the Community Baptist Church and also served the church as assistant treasurer.

He was an active member of the Senior Citizen"s Center and enjoyed playing pool and dominos

In September, 1985, he married Anita Joyce (Lane) Benz in Gainesville, Texas. Added to this union, one adopted son, Timothy Joseph Benz.

Survivors include his wife Anita, his adopted son, Joseph of the h9ome. Two sons and a daughter in law, Roy Michael Benz of Blue Springs Mo and Gary Don and Verna Benz of Indiana. One daughter, Patricia Lee Eubanks of Okalahom; One step son, Gary Lee Cole and wife Angie of Big Spring Texas;two step-daughters Tommy Lee Whitson and husband Brent of Moore, Oklahoma and Mandy Lee Canaushty of Oklahoma; two brothers, Earnest Lee Page, of California; Johnny Franklin Benz of Oklahoma; one sister, Peggy Lee Turner of Oklahoma; fifty grand and great grandchildren.

Roy was preceded in death by his first wife,Susanna Dell Benz in 1985; a daughter, Latricia Maxine Benz in 1953; a grandson, Allen Wayne VanMeter in 1995; two great grandsons, one great granddaughter. Mr. Benz requested to be cremated.
