Albert Lewis

Albert "Coach" Lewis age 80 of Snyder, TX, died Wednesday, November 02, 2011 at Cogdell Memorial Hospital in Snyder after a lengthy illness illness.

Services for Coach Lewis will be at 3PM Saturday with Dr. Tommy Culwell and Rev. Raymond Dunkins officiating. Interment will follow in Hillside Memorial Gardens under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Funeral Home.

Coach Lewis was born October 17, 1931 in Navasota. He graduated from Dunbar Highschool in Lubbock and Tyler College. He married Daisy Joe Henry on April 17, 1957.

In 17 years Coach Lewis" teams advanced to th eplayoffs fourteen times, won eleven district championships, three regional titles and advanced to state three time3s and won the Class 4A State Championship in 1983. Coach Lewis was inducted into the Texas High School Baseball Hall of Honor in 2003.
