Lora Alene Buchanan

Lora Alene Buchanan age 89 of Snyder, TX, died Saturday at Cogdell Memorial Hospital in Snyder, Texas after a lengthy illness.

Graveside services for Mrs. Buchanan will be held at 10AM Tuesday at the Macon Cemetery in Mt. Vernon, Texas with Robin Roberts, son in law, officiating. Arrangements under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Funeral Home.

Mrs. Buchanan was born to the late John Loyd and Fannie Belle Jones March 22, 1922 in Sweetwater, Texas. She married the late Reverend Jessie B. Ramsey in 1940. They were married for 55 years when he passed in 1996. Lora then married Jordan "Buck" Buchanan in 1998. They were married for 7 years when he passed in 2005.

Lora was an active member of Avenue D Baptist Church. She loved to oil paint, travel, cook, read, and spend time with her family and friends. She was a devout Christian and a strong warrior for Christ.

Thomas and Sandy McDorman held a special place in her heart.
She loved each and every one very much.

In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents, 5 brothers, and 1 sister.

Visitation was held Sunday at 2PM at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
