Mrs. Jean Anne Carrell Edmiaston age 82 of Snyder, TX, died Thursday, November 24, 2011 at the Oasis Assisted Living Facility in Stafford, TX. after a lengthy illness.

Funeral Mass for Mrs. Edmiaston will be at 10 AM Monday at St. Elizabeth"s Catholic Church in Snyder with Father Gerald Leatham, Monsignor Curtis Halfmann, Father Jim McCartney officiating. Interment will follow at Snyder Cemetery under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Funeral Home.

Mrs. Edmiaston was born August 1, 1929 in Brooklyn, New York to John Craig & Edna Mae (Kelly) Carrell. She married Bobby Edmiaston on April 27, 1957 in Snyder, Tx. He preceded her in death on August 1, 1998. Mrs. Edmiaston graduated from Bay Ridge High School in Brooklyn and moved to Snyder in 1951. She was a member of St. Elizabeth"s Catholic Church being one of it"s original parishioners. She worked as a receptionist for Dr. Dillaha for many years, as well as owned the Mode O" Day store on the square.

Jean Anne"s life was like a burst of Sunshine. She was loved by everyone who crossed her path. She made everyone"s life better by just knowing her. Her life changed dramatically when her father died suddenly when Jean Anne was just 13 years old. She essentially raised her younger siblings while her mother worked. Jean Anne was an extraordinary woman, mother, sister and friend. She will be sorely missed. May she Rest in Peace.

Son, C. B. Edmiaston, fiance Lupe and daughter Kris of Justiceburg, TX
Son, Gary Don Edmiaston, wife Linda and daughters Casey and Shelby of Sugarland, TX
Daughter, Teresa Edmiaston Swecker, husband Bryan and daughter Kaitlyn of Bronte, TX

Sister & Brother-in-Law, Helen and Bates Hoffer of San Antonio, Tx.
Brother and Sister-in-Law, John Craig and Pat Carrell of Henderson, NV.


Prayer Vigil will be at 6 PM Sunday at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home
Rosary will be held at 6:30 PM Sunday at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home
