Vickie Lynn Reed was born in Odessa, TX on March 24th, 1958 to Bill Guynes and Clora Guynes. She grew up in Snyder, TX and attended Snyder ISD schools from elementary school through high school. In 1981 she received her Associate of Arts degree from Western Texas College in Snyder. Vickie married her high school sweetheart, David Reed, in 1974 and is survived by him and their two children, Chris Reed and Cheryl Reed along with Cheryl"s fiancée Ernest Eisenberg. Other surviving family members include her mother, Clora of Snyder; her sisters Connie Mackey and husband Pat Mackey of Snyder; Debra Leggitt and husband Bruce Leggitt of Greenbriar, AR; brothers Billy Wayne Guynes and spouse Donna Deguire of Snyder, and Carl and wife Karen Guynes of Breckenridge, TX; and brother-in-law Jeff Reed and wife Laurie Reed of Snyder. She is preceded in death by father Bill Guynes and Mother and Father in-law Ramona and Herb Reed.

Vickie ran the family business, B-Line Vacuum Services of Snyder, with her father until its closing. Her top priority was making a wonderful home for her children and husband, and this is perhaps her greatest accomplishment in life and the one of which she was proudest. Vickie was active in the community and, following in the footsteps of her mother-in-law, volunteered as a Pink Lady at Cogdell Memorial Hospital for many years. She loved people and was so generous with her time and affection, always having a kind word for everyone and demonstrating a willingness to help people wherever and whenever she could. Her laugh was infectious and was heard often, as she had an optimistic love for life, her family, and her friends. Vickie was considered a best friend by many because of her warm personality and was known as "Aunt Vickie" to her friends" children. A lover of animals, Vickie"s favorite was Pete, her Bassett Hound grand-puppy, who she always said called her "Grand-ma-ma."

Vickie was taken from us far too soon and will be terribly missed. Her absence leaves a large hole in our lives but the legacy of love and kindness she leaves behind will be our strength to carry on. We love you.
