Margaret Ernestine Presswood

Margaret Ernestine Presswood age 74 of Snyder, TX, died Thursday, December 29, 2011 at Cogdell Memorial Hospital in Snyder, Texas after a lengthy battle with cancer.

Services for Mrs. Presswood will be held at 2PM Sunday at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Clayton Griggs officiating. A private burial will be held in Knox City Cemetery. All services will be directed under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Funeral Home.

Mrs. Presswood was born on July 15, 1937 in Knox City, TX to Vernon and Rubye (Youngblood) Bridges. She married Lee Presswood on April 06, 1957 in Lubbock, Texas. She moved to Anton in 1943 and graduated from Anton High School in 1954. She graduated Harden Simmons University with a BS and a Masters from Abilene Christian University. She taught Odessa and Commanche Public Schools and , Trent and Snyder ISD. She was a long time Sunday school teacher and a member of the Snyder Bridge Club, and the Needlepoint Stitching Club in Lubbock and a lifetime member of the Texas State Teachers Association and Cosmorama Club.

Uncle- L.N. Bridges & wife Wilma, Amarillo, TX

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother in law, Clarence Presswood.

Visitation will be held from 5PM to 6PM Saturday at Bell-Cypert-Seale.
