Raymond Lewis Phipps

Raymond Lewis Phipps age 91 of Snyder, TX, died Sunday, March 04, 2012 at Cogdell Memorial Hospital in Snyder after a lengthy illness.

Graveside services for Mr. Phipps will be held on Wednesday, March 07, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Snyder Cemetery with Rev. Clayton Griggs officiating under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.

Mr. Phipps was born on August 23, 1920 in Hico, TX to Lewis and Charolette Mae (Ross) Phipps. He married Katy Rollins on November 07, 1947 in Colorado City, Texas. She preceded him in death on December 31, 1994. He worked as a trackman for the Santa Fe Railroad for 33 and a half years retiring in 1980. He was a member of the First Baptist Church.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Elizabeth Ann Huddleston; 5 brothers; and a daughter in law, Janett Green.

Visitation will be Tuesday, March 06, 2012 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
