Winnie Kornegay Fowler

Winnie Kornegay Fowler, 88, of Snyder, Texas, passed away at her daughter;s home in Plano, Texas, June 16, 2012. Ms. Fowler was born December 28, 1923 in Caldwell, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Milam Fowler, her parents, Tom and Pauline Kornegay as well as her brother, Thomas Kornegay and sisters Inez Oncken, Doris Pillow and Patsy Urbanosky.

She is survived by her loving daughters, Claudia Bogle and husband Jim of Plano, TX, Janice Snow and husband Tom of Allen, TX, Neva Crowder and husband George of Snyder,TX, and Eva Williamson and husband Leslie of Brady, TX. Also surviving are her brother, Charles Kornegay of Houston, TX, sisters Mildred Whaley of Pasedena, TX, Mattie Novasod of Caldwell, TX, Peggy Hayes of College Station, TX, Betty Jones of Houston, TX and sister in law, Bertha Fowler Gilbert of Snyder, TX. She also leaves to cherish in her memory her eleven grandchildren, Melissa, Timothy, Mary, Pam, Chris, Jason, Joel, Jodi, Nikki, Michelle, and Angela as well as fourteen great-grandchildren.

Ms. Fowler"s favorite hobby was playing bridge. When her health kept her from participating in her bridge group, she enjoyed playing it on the computer. Her best frien was her little Malteses dog, Mikkee. They have taken care of each other for 10 years.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday June 19, 2012 at 2PM at the Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home Chapel with her grandson, Rev. Tim Herndon officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Memorial Gardens under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Monday from 6PM to 7:30PM at the funeral home.
