Jim Naranjo "Junior" DeLaO III, 64, of Snyder died Thursday, July 17, at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock.
ServiceS for Mr. DeLaO will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at Bell-Cypert-Seale Chapel with Bishop Randy Asebedo officiating. The service will be under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home
A prayer service will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday at Bell-Cypert-Seale funeral home.
Born on Aug. 7, 1947 in Poteet, to Jim DeLaO Jr. and Petra Naranjo, he married Ninfa Torres on Dec. 30, 1963 in Snyder. He worked in the construction industry.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim DeLaO Jr. and Petra Naranjo; two sisters, Minga Dominguez and Andrea DeLaO; one brother, Antonio DeLaO; five brother-in-laws, Isidro Villareal, Alfonso Bernal, Juan Bernal, Henry Rocha and Trine Dominguez; and one great-granddaughter, Idalisa Marie Rodriguez.
Survivors include his wife, Ninfa DeLaO of Snyder; three sons, Jesse DeLaO and John DeLaO, both of Snyder, and Joe DeLaO and his wife, Anita, of Las Vegas, N.M.; five daughters; Gloria Jaramillo and her husband, Paul, Maryhelen D. Lucero and her husband, Charles, Norma D. Armijo and her husband, Anthony, Roseanna C. Vigil and her husband, Eliseo,all of Las Vegas NM and Christina DeLarO Ortega and husband Charles of Lubbock, Tx.; three brothers, Chon DeLaO and his wife, Angelica, of Mundelein, Ill. and Ruben DeLaO and his wife, Janie, and Clyde DeLaO of Snyder; six sisters, Mary Villareal, Arcilia Torres and her husband, Benancio, Licha Bernal and and Petra DeLaO and her husband, Gabrriel Trejo, all of Snyder, Consuelo Bernal of Tahoka and Gloria Torres of Sweetwater; 30 grandchildren, Mary C. Maes and her husband, Patricio, Marisol J. Jaramillo and her boyfriend, Patrick, Angel A. Brito and her husband, Kris, Ashley Nicole Jaramillo and boyfriend Bobby Coca, Leopoldo Jaramillo, Steven Jaramillo, Mikey Jaramillo, Billy Joe DeLaO and his wife, Karen, Antion Olivarez, Jaime Olivarez and his wife, Desirae, Jesus C. Lucero and his wife, Lisa Pino, Christopher R. Lucero, Jacqueline A. DeLaO and her boyfriend, Marco, Jessica A. DeLaO, Jesus A. DeLaO, Laura A. Harris and her husband, Abel, Alexandra DeLaO, Rebecca A. Armijo, Jacob Armijo, Lil Joe DeLaO, Pricilla A. DeLaO and her boyfriend, Abel Florez, Jovani DeLaO, Enrique DeLaO, Marissa DeLaO, Dae Dae DeLaO, Felippe DeLaO, Charles A.R. Ortega; 24 great-grandchildren, Rosalie Vigil, Antonio Vigil, Esperanza Vigil, Leroy Vigil, Billy Joe DeLaO, Nicholas Nathanel DeLaO, Kristopher Brito, Jazzlyn Brito, Monique Brito, Coby Coca, Neveah Jaramillo, Ariel Amor Olivarez, Alexandra Juarez, Ramiro Juarez, Sierna Juarez, Michael Juarez, Angel Juarez II, Angelica Juarez, Devon Lucero, Deshon Lucero, Leticia Lucero, Valentino DeLaO, Haleli Florez and Liseth DeLaO; a special niece, Mary Cantu of Lamesa; his best friend, Ruben Gonzalez; and numerous nieces and nephews.
