Sarah Byrd

Mrs. Sarah Fowler Byrd age 92 of Jayton, TX, died Sunday, August 12, 2012 at Fisher County Hospital in Rotan, Texas , after a brief illness.

Services for Mrs. Sarah Fowler Byrd will be held on Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at 11:00am at the Clairemont Cemetery with Pastor Nate Sprinkle officiating. Services are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.

Mrs. Byrd was born on Thursday, July 22, 1920 in Anniston, Alabama to D. R. and Molly Fowler . She married Elwood Byrd on Wednesday, September 07, 1938 in Snyder, Texas. She was a fomer Kent County Commisioner for 14 years. Mrs Byrd was a member of the First Baptist Church Clairemont.

She is survived by:
One son and daughter in law Woody and Kay Byrd, of Jayton
Three Daughters
Linda and James Dye of Post
Ruth Ann and Larry Purcell of Ira
Marilyn Pace of Midland
Eight Grandchildren, Eighteen Great-Grand Children and Six Great-Great Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Elwood on November 8, 1970.
Also preceded by her her parents, five sisters and five brothers.
