James Pryor Pitner

Mr. J. P. "Pete" Pitner, Jr. age 89 of Snyder, TX, died Saturday, November 24, 2012 at His Residence in , after a lengthy illness.

Services for Pitner will be held on Tuesday November 27, 2012 at Eleven O"clock AM at ??? Cemetery with Pastor Alan McGuire officiating. Interment will follow at ??? under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.

Mr. Pitner was born on Friday, August 31, 1923 in Snyder, TX to J. P. and Alma (Henley) Pitner . He marriedFrances Megason. He graduated from Snyder High School in 1941 and farmed with his father until being drafted into the U.S. Army in 1943. He served in the PacificTheater for three years as a Staff Sgt. and was discharged in 1945. He worked in the U. S. Postal service from 1950 to 1984.
