Willie Odis Davis, Jr. age 82 of Lubbock, TX, former Snyder resident, passed away Tuesday, February 04, 2014 at his residence in Lubbock.

Services for Mr. Davis will be held on Saturday, February 08, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home with Rev. Jay Kincaid officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Memorial Gardens under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.

Mr. Davis was born on August 16, 1931 in Colorado City, TX to Willie Odis Sr. and Ida Lee (Daughtrey) Davis. He married Shirley Dunford on October 31, 1955 in Loving, New Mexico. He was a production manager for Snyder Daily News for 50 plus years. Willie coached little league and pee wee football. He was also a US Navy veteran having served in the Korean War and a member of the Victory Baptist Church in Snyder.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and 2 sons, Glenn Davis and James Davis.

Visitation will be Saturday, February 08, 2014 at 1:00 PM before the service at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
