Nora Jo Ball

Nora 'Jo' Ball age 90 of Snyder, TX, passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at Snyder Oaks Care Center after a lengthy illness.

Graveside services for Mrs. Ball will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at 10:00 AM at Fluvanna Cemetery with Mr. Don Campbell officiating under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.

Mrs. Ball was born on November 23, 1923 in Maryneal, TX to George and Mattie (Ray) Morton. She married Dean Ball on April 27, 1943 in Gail, Texas. He preceded her in death. She worked at Gatlin's Grocery Store, Fluvanna Schools Cafeteria, Fenton's Dad & Lad, and for the US Government Boll Weevil Eradication Program. Jo loved children and could make a wonderful chicken spaghetti and butternut pound cake. Her grandchildren loved her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Dean Ball; her mother and father, George and Mattie Morton; 3 brothers, Newton, A.C., and Morris Morton; and 1 sister, Nellie Marie Blakely.

Visitation will be Friday, February 14, 2014 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.

The family requests memorials be made to the Children's Leukemia Society in the name of Jo's great niece, Karsyn Eubank, or your favorite hospice services, or the Alzheimer's Association.
