James Frederick Defreese

James Frederick DeFreese age 80 of Snyder, TX went home to be with the Lord, Friday, March 07, 2014 at his home in the care of his loving family.

Services for James DeFreese will be held on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at 2:00 PM at First Assembly of God with Rev. Steven Pena and Rev. Mike Matheny officiating. Interment will follow at Snyder Cemetery under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.

Mr. DeFreese was born on March 18, 1933 in Ensley, AL to George and Lela (Addington) DeFreese. He married Doris Oliver on November 08, 1971 in Fairfield, AL. James proudly served his country for over 20 years in the United States Air Force. He worked in the USAF from 1952 to 1969 in many countries in the world: US, Japan, Crete, Pakistan, among others. In 1969, he returned to US soil to Kelly AFB where he prepared to go to Vietnam. He served in Vietnam until 1972. James eventually retired from the military in 1978 when he moved his family from Warrensburg, MO to Snyder. He worked in the Mag plant and for Price Brothers Construction, retiring again in Aug 1955. James was a member of Snyder First Assembly. He was a faithful dad, husband and friend.. and will be missed by all.
