Pauline 'Polly' Autry

Funeral service for Pauline (Polly) Autry, 93, is set for 10am Monday at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home Chapel in Snyder, Texas. Rev. Bob Hopkins of Midland will officiate and Rev. Tommy Culwell will assist. Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Gardens under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home. She went home to her Lord March 21, 2014 in Junction, Texas.

She was born in Rogers, Texas, August 6, 1920. She married Leon Autry on June 11, 1943 in Ft. Pierce, Florida.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Charles and Ellen Joyner, her husband, Leon Autry, a grandson, Craig Bishop, three sisters and one brother.

She graduated from Spur High School in 1939 and from Hardin Simmons University in 1943. She was a public school teacher in Snyder for 30 years. After retirement she was a pink lady at Cogdell Memorial Hospital in Snyder and enjoyed many hours serving others.

She was a long time member of Colonial Hill Baptist Church, Snyder. She taught children and adults in Sunday School and loved visiting homebound members. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Junction at the time of her death.

She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Joe and Sandy Chapman of Junction and Danny and Mitzi Bishop of Coppell; four grandsons, Gary Chapman and wife Jennifer of Amarillo, Jimmy Chapman and wife Christie of San Antonio, Scotty Chapman of Brawley, California and Brian Bishop and wife Mandy of Corona, California; four great grand children, Emily and Jake Chapman of Amarillo, Natalie Chapman of San Antonio, and Tysen Bishop of Corona, California; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation Sunday, March 23, 2014 from 5 pm to 6 pm at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home

The family requests any memorials be made to your local Hospice, the charity of your choice or First Baptist Church of Junction.
