Gay Kimmel

Gay Kimmel, 75, of Snyder Texas passed away April 17, 2014 peacefully in her home. She was born May 27 ^th , 1938 in Marietta Oklahoma to Weldon and Dotty Birdsall. Gay graduated from Snyder High School in 1956

September 9, 1956 she married Bill Kimmel and they shared a very special relationship of 57 years.  Gay was a devoted wife, loving mother to her sons Kirk and Kris and faithful friend. She played an important role in Bill’s successful corporate career. Upon their return to Snyder in 1980 she became a frequent volunteer in many community organizations. Making a real difference in all that she did.

Gay was preceded in death by her husband Bill, son Kirk, father Weldon Birdsall. She is survived by her mother, Dotty Hart of Snyder; a son, Kris Kimmel and wife Denise of the Woodlands; twin sister Kay Bennett of Telkwa BC Canada; brother Mickey Birdsall of Decatur; daughter in law, Sonia and husband Devin Johnson of Coeur d’ Alene Idaho. Sister in law, Dixie Burns of Granbury; three brothers in law, Bob Kimmel and wife June of Colorado City, Philip Kimmel of Houston, Tom Kimmel and wife Julie of Kingsland; Grandchildren Kasey, Sean and Brandi. Great grandchildren Caden,Hannah and Luke. Numerous nieces and nephews.
