Shirley Barton

Shirley Barton passed from this life April 17, 2014 at the age of 94. She was born Nobember 29, 1919 in Titus County Arkansas to Virgie and Vera Hanson. She married Newman Young on November 7, 1935. Mr. Young preceded her in death on March 7, 1961. Two more husbands, Jeff Randolph and C arl Barton also preceded her in death. Mrs. Barton was an active member of the Primitive Baptist Church in Crosbyton, Tx until her move move to Snyder, two years ago. She has benn a resident of Snyder Health Care until her death. She was a lifelong resident of Afton and Roaring Springs.

Mrs. Barton loved to crochet, was an avid seamstress and she passed many heirloom throughout her family. She loved to cook for others and participated regularly in church work. Mrs. Barton's kindness and her willingness to help others is a testimony to her life and a legacy for her family to admire and remember.

Graveside services for Mrs. Barton will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Afton Cemetery under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
