Le Roy Brown

Graveside services for Le Roy Brown, 91, of Snyder will be at 10 o'clock in Snyder Cemetery with Dr. Tommy Culwell of Colonial Hill Baptist Church officiating. Mr. Brown passed away at home Friday May 30th, 2014.
Le Roy Brown was born on December 16th, 1922 in Dermott, Texas to James Richard and Lilly Mae Brown. Le Roy attended school in Fluvanna. He served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS. Raleigh for four years during World War II. On October 24th, 1945 he married Marjorie Brown of Dunn, Texas in San Diego, California. She preceded him in death in September 1998.
Le Roy had one daughter, Lana McKinney, and one son in law Lane McKinney of Shallowater. He also had two granddaughters, Shelbi Jary of San Antonio, and Leigh Christian of Austin. He is also survived by one great-granddaughter, Kelsey Jary, and one great-great-granddaughter Kaelyn Mays-Jary of San Antonio.
Roy was a longtime member of the Men's Bible Class at Colonial Hill and a thirty-second degree Mason. He was also a life-long democrat.
