Melba Mae Light

Mrs. Melba Mae Light, 96 of Snyder, TX died on Monday, September 15, 2014 in Snyder after a lengthy illness.

Service for Mrs. Light will be held on Friday, September 19, 2014 , at 10:00 AM at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home with Dr. Tommy Culwell officiating. Burial will follow at Hillside Memorial Gardens. Services are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home

Mrs. Light was born on May 11, 1918 in Paint Rock,TX to Arlie and Clara(Hanes) Seale. She married George Light on December 20, 1941 in Roscoe, TX. He preceded her in death in September, 2004. Mrs. Light was raised in the Great Depression, taking care of her younger siblings. In her earlier years, she was a hair dresser at Bess Fish's Shop and a former caterer at Martha Ann Women's Club. She loved traveling, quilting and even in her later years, shooting basketball. Known for a kind, caring person, she will truly be missed.

She was preceded in death by her husband George, her parents and three brothers; Herman, Von Dean and Johnny Seale and sister Felba Ware.

Visitation will be Thursday, September18, 2014 from 6pm to 7pm at the funeral home.
