Jerry Gannaway

Jerry Max Gannaway, 75 of Hermleigh,TX died on Sunday, November 02, 2014 at his residence in Hermleigh after a lengthy illness.

Service for Mr. Gannaway will be held on Thursday, November 6, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at First Baptist Church in Hermleigh with Reverend Alan Culp officiating. Internment will follow at Gannaway Family Cemetery . Services are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.

Mr. Gannaway was born on Saturday, July 08, 1939 in Roscoe, TX to Homer and Della (Nachlinger) Gannaway . He married Kathy Odstrcil on October 11, 1969 in Hermleigh, Tx.

Jerry was a member of Hermleigh Masonic Lodge No.987 since 1970 and was a past Master and District Deputy. He received the Golden Trowel Award in 2007. He was also a 32nd Degree Mason. Jerry was a member of the Sweetwater Cammandery No. 89 Knights Templar and a member of the Order Of The Eastern Star. Jerry worked for Scurry County and served two terms as County Commissioner. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Hermleigh and was proud to be a farmer.
