Mr.William A Maxfield, 87 of Snyder,TX died on Monday, November 03, 2014 in Lubbock, TX, following a lengthy battle with cancer.
Services for Mr. Maxfield will be held Thursday, November 6, 2014 at 10:00AM at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home with Reverend Nicky Johnson officiating. Internment will follow at Hillside Memorial Gardens. Services are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
W.A. (Yank) Maxfield was born November 15, 1926 in Mount Carmel, Illinois to John Christian and Lena Bender Maxfield.
Mr. W.A. served in WWII in the 82nd Airborne Division from 1944 to 1946. He later married Patsy Jackson on December 5, 1950.
He was the owner of Snyder Iron & Metal and Sweetwater Iron & Metal for 37 years. He was an avid coin collector, reader of westerns and model train hobbyist.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 5, 2014 from 7pm to 8pm at the funeral home.
