Kenneth Wink

Kenneth Rushe Wink, 72, of Fluvanna and Marathon, Texas, went to be with his Lord and Savior Monday, January 19, 2015.

Funeral services for Mr. Wink will be held on Thursday, January 22, 2015 at Calvary Baptist Church at 2:00 PM with Reverend Larry McAden officiating. Burial will follow at Fluvanna Cemetery. Following the burial, the family will recieve family and friends at the Fluvanna Community Center. Services are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.

Kenneth was born February 18, 1942 to Leslie Edwin and Catherine Erma Tinkler Wink in San Angelo, Texas. Kenneth graduated from Robert Lee High School in 1960. After graduating from Texas Tech with a degree in Vocational Agriculture Education, Kenneth married Betty J. Pylant of Fluvanna, TX on July 31, 1965.

In 1964, Kenneth began a long career of teaching vocational agriculture...where he mentored many students over the years to which he referred to as his own kids. Therefore, Mr. Wink is also survived by a large extended family. He spent 22 of his 34 years of teaching at Marathon ISD. As well as teaching Vocational Agricultural, he also served as a tennis, golf and football coach. Kenneth was a lifetime member of VATAT, a member of the Marathon Lions Club, Marathon Booster Club and served in many capacities in the Marathon and Fluvanna Baptist Church.

Kenneth is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Betty J. Wink; along with three children; Rachelle and Luke Proctor of San Antonio, TX, Kevin and Kelli Wink of Fort Davis, TX, Kerry an Kristi Wink of Post, TX, 7 grandchildren, Braden Proctor, Jordan Proctor, Josh Hastings, Jami Hastings, Kolton Wink, Kasen Wink and Keithl and Wink.Two brothers; Robert and Marsha Wink, Harvey and Shari Wink. Two sisters, Leslie Nell Hanky , Kay and Charles Ledbetter. Numerous nieces and nephews. Brother-in-law Rex and Pat Pylant, sister-in-law Ozane and James Beaver. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, sister Erma Lee Gartman and brother Milburn Wink.

The family will greet friends from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
