Mrs. Linnie Merl Pitchford, 74 of Snyder, TX died on Friday, February 06, 2015 at her home in Snyder after a lengthy illness.

A graveside service for Mrs. Pitchford will be held on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 , at 2:00 PM at Snyder Cemetery with Reverend Calvin Burrow and Pastor Nicky Johnson officiating. Services are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.

Mrs. Pitchford was born on Thursday, August 01, 1940 in Titus County, TX to George Byron and Eunice M (Spangler) Winkle. She married Eugene Pitchford on Monday, July 08, 1985 in Kingfisher, OK. He preceded her in death in 1995.
Mrs. Pitchford was a member of the North College Avenue Baptist Church. She graduated from Clarksville High Scholl in 1958. She did clerical bookkeeping for Texas State Technical Institute in Winters, Tx. and later was the secretary/treasurer of Lenlee Equipment Inc. a family owned business. She went on to become a licensed vocational nurse from Western Texas College in 1983. In 1984 she became the OB charge nurse at Cogdell Memorial Hospital. She ws also a sales and collection agent for L. B. Mercantile and Managed Ardmore motor lodge in Ardmore, OK and Southgate Motel in Enid, Ok.

She is survived by

1) Son - Quincy M. Meadows, Snyder, TX
1) Sister - Winnie Lynch, Tolar, TX
1) Brother - R. J. Winkle, Alba, TX
4) Grandchildren
6) Great Grandchildren

She was preceded in death by:

Enzalee Blalock, Wanda Nell Burrow and Marie F. Mills

Visitation will be held from 6 PM to 7 PM at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
