Mr.A C " Sug" Thompson , 74 of Snyder,TX died on Saturday, April 25, 2015 in Sweetwater.

Services for Mr. Thompson will be held on Saturday, May 02, 2015 , at 11:00 AM at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home with Rev. Stanley Peppers officiating. Assisting are Reverend Raymond Dunkins and Reverend Joshua Smith. Internment will follow at Hillside Memorial Gardens. Services are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.

Mr. A.C. "Sug" Thompson was born in Grosebeck, TX on May 16, 1940 to Nancy Brooks Thompson and Autris Thompson Sr. He was the youngest of eight children. He graduated from Lincoln High School in Snyder, Tx.

A.C. accepted Christ at the Mt. Rose Baptist Church and was ordained a deacon by the late Reverend F.K. Williams. At the time of his death, he was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church in Snyder, TX under the leadership of Reverend Raymond Dunkins.

In 1970, A.C. met and married his "soul mate," Edna Hines. They married on October 17, 1970 in College Station, Tx. He was a hard working man who always wore a smile. He retired from Exxon Mobil Oil Company, however, he continued to work part-time until his health failed him.
He was a loving husband, super dad and a protecting and caring grandfather. He taught his son to be a man and assume the responsibilities as a Christian family man. His last love was Bright Eyes, (Ty), his beloved young granddaughter.

A.C. leaves to cherish his memories, his devoted wife of forty four plus years, Edna Hines Thompson. A loving son and daughter-in-law, Rodney Hines Thompson and Beatrice. Four loving grandchildren, Eli Garza, Cealiyal Sneed, Brishaya Sneed and Ty Teanna (Bright Eyes) Thompson. A loving sister Ophelia Braziel. Five loving sister in laws, Shirley Jean Hines and Martha Gail Hines of Hearne, Tx. Vernell Thompson of Snyder, Tx, Earlene Thompson of Dallas, Tx and Rita Thompson of Midland, TX. Six god children, Akashin Pepper, Jonell Mayes, Arlene Bell, Dianne Mayes, Carol Kirby Gindratte and Robert Kirby. Lastly, three special friends, Lupie Tamora of Snyder, Tx, Melvin Coleman of Dallas, Tx and Rev. Stanley (Reb) Peppers of Benbrook, Tx.

He is preceded in death by both parents, three sons, Elester, Jessie and Michael Hines Thompson. One god daughter, Barbara Coleman Milliner.
Five brother, Henry Lee Brooks, Herman Thompson, Artis Thompson, Willie T. Thompson and L.C. Thompson. Two sisters, Bertha Thompson and Mary Jane Powell.
