Jerry Don Beasley

August 22, 1935 — May 31, 2015

Mr. Jerry Don Beasley , 79 of Snyder,TX passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2015 at the Garrison in Lubbock, Texas.

Graveside Services for Mr. Beasley will be held on Wednesday, June 3, 2015, at 2:00 PM at Loop Cemetery with Pastor ReyDon Stanford officiating. Services are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.

Mr. Beasley was born to LeeRoy and Edna (Florence) Beasley in Rochester, Texas on August 22, 1935. He graduated from O'Brien High School in 1954. He served in the Air Force from 1954-1960. He was a Golden Gloves Boxer. He married Wanda Faye Day on July 07, 1961 in Loop, Texas.

When he was a small boy, he was living on the Alamogardo Air Base when the first Atomic bomb was tested at Las Almamos. He was wounded in Viet Nam in 1968, while working as a helicopter mechanic for LSI Corporation.
He was a cotton ginner working at Loop, Brownfield, Big Spring and Levelland before buying a cotton gin at West Camp, which he owned and operated from March 1977-1991. He retired and moved to Snyder, Texas.

Jerry was a Baptist , a member of the Brownfield Masonic Lodge 903, and a member of Lubbock Scottish Rites. He was also a member of the New Mexico Quarter Horse Association.

He is survived by

Patsy Covey and husband Lanny, Snyder , TX

5) Grandchildren and 7) Great Grandchildren

He was preceded in death by
his father LeeRoy Beasley, his mother and and step-father,
Edna and Bert Davis and sister, Loretta Hewitt.

Memorials may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children, 6977 Main Street, Houston, Texas 77030-3701

Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 2, 2015 from 6 PM to 7 PM at
Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
