Mary Jane Prince McCormick was born to Billy (Speedy) and JoAnn Prince July 15, 1959 in Snyder Texas. Janie went to be with her Heavenly Father Tuesday June 16, 2015 at the age of 55. Janie married Mark McCormick on April 30, 1983. She was preceded in death by her husband Mark, brother Timmy Prince, father and mother in law Bobby and Billie McCormick, and father Speedy Prince. Janie is survived by her children Matt McCormick and his wife Shelley, Megan Cerda and her husband Ted, mother JoAnn Prince, brother Scotty Prince and sister in law Wendy Prince, nephews and niece Michael, William and Elizabeth Varela, sister and brother in law Marilyn and Lane Shaw and niece Erin Buck.
Janie delighted most in her children and her family, she enjoyed cooking and gardening and had a deep faith. Janie was always eager to serve others in her church and her community as well as being very passionate about mission work in India. Janie was a courageous woman and would accept any challenge with determination, she was filled with joy and was encouraging to everyone that she met. Janie will be remembered fondly for her generous spirit and servant heart. Memorials can be made in her honor to India Mission Work at East Side Church of Christ or the Mark McCormick memorial scholarship at SISD.
