Golda "Pete" Louella Foster

Pete was a long time Hermleigh resident and graduate of Hermleigh schools. She had always lived on a farm, first helping her family, Will & Floy Caffey, and later joining her husband Glenn (Sam) Foster with faming and ranching needs and running the household. She left Scurry County only as her health declined.

Glenn & Pete were married 54 years before he passed away December 11, 1994. They were members of First Baptist Church, Hermleigh.

She passed away peacefully at Oak Ridge Manor Saturday afternoon. The family expresses their sincere thanks to Hoyt House, Sweetwater; Goodlife,Snyder; and Oak Ridge Manor, Brownwood for their love and care of our mother.

She is survived by her son, Douglas & Belinda Foster of Hermleigh and daughter Cheryl ( Sherry) & Wayne Winkles of Brownwood. Three grandchildren and famlies, Rodney & Jody Foster, Keitlyn, Jackson, & Harrison of Sweetwater; Vanessa & Doug Collier, Makenna & Emily of Odessa; Valarie & Thomas Scull, Tanner, Spencer, & Madalyn of Brownwood. One sister, Nell Lamberth of Lubbock. There are many nieces, nephews, and friends who loved our mother as well.

Services will be Monday, August 3, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church, Hermleigh, interment following at Hermleigh Cemetery with Brother Alan Culp officiating; under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home. Visistation will be held Sunday, August 2, 2015 from 6-7 pm at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
