Harold Dean Ellis

Mr.Harold Dean Ellis, 81 of Wimberley,TX formerly of Snyder died on Thursday, August 20, 2015 in Wimberley Texas.

Services for Mr. Ellis will be held on Tuesday, August 25, 2015 , at 10:00 AM at Bell Cypert Seale Chapel with Reverend Darold Baldwin officiating. Internment will follow at Hillside Memorial Gardens. . Services are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.

Mr. Ellis was born on Monday, December 11, 1933 in Eastland, TX to M.C. and Martha (Flowers) Ellis. He married Glendena Merritt on June 04, 1955 in Eastland Texas. She preceded him in death on September 20, 2014.

Mr. Ellis had only three jobs in his life. While still in school he was a paperboy. He served in the Air Force for 4 years, and worked for The Western Company in Odessa, Kermit and Snyder Texas from 1955-1977. He then quit and went into business with a partner (forming H & L Services, Inc.) He continued on until the oil field went on the decline and they closed the doors on the business in 1987.

His family called him Bud and the nickname Eli was given to him by the Western Company co-workers.

His parents, a son Paul Ellis (1986), brothers Connard and Donald Ellis, sister Joyce Taylor, nephew Gary Ellis and brothers-in-law Rayford Taylor and Sonny Schobel.
