Lindy Clark went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday, November 13, 2015 at his home.
A Celebration Service will be held on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church Chapel in Snyder, Texas with Reverend Jimmy Nelson officiating. A Private Committal Service will be held prior to the Celebration Service. Services are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
Lindy was born on April 23, 1927 to Albert and Ida Mae Clark in Clayton, TX. They moved to Snyder when he was 8 months old. After graduating Snyder High School in 1944, he spent his time in the Navy stationed in Great Lakes, Georgetown, and New Orleans. He also attended Texas Tech University. He married Carla Jean von Roeder on June 25, 1949 and they celebrated 66 years together! They raised their four children in Snyder. They moved to Oregon in 1979. After 5 years, they moved to Richardson, TX where they’ve lived the last 32 years.
Lindy was an entrepreneur and started and obtained several small businesses in his lifetime including Lindy Clark Farm Service Center, Gulf Oil Distributing, Lindy Clark Water Well Service, Clark & Smith Propane, and the last being Allied Travel Agency in Richardson.
Lindy lived his life for the Lord and his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Ida Mae Clark, his wife’s parents, Nolan & Opal von Roeder, his children Terry Clark, Stanley Clark, and Teresa Clark Pugh. Also by his brothers Blanton, James A, Everett, Donald, and Harry Clark and his sisters Joyce Kemp, Melba Worley, and Evelyn Dorman.
Survivors include his wife Carla von Roeder Clark, daughter Denise Clark Stufflebeam and her husband John Stufflebeam. Grandchildren Carl Clark and his wife Melissa Clark, Stormy Clark Shields and her husband James Allen Shields, Justin Pugh , Andrea Stufflebeam , and Matthew Stufflebeam . Also four great grandchildren: Reese Camp, Caitlyn Clark, Carson Clark and Asher Shields.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 17, 2015 from 6PM to 7PM at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
