Mr. Benjamin Franklin Brooks, Jr., 89 of Floresville, TX died peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Saturday, February 20, 2016 in Floresville.

Funeral Services for Mr. Brooks, will be held on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 , at 10:00 AM at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Noble officiating. Internment will follow at Snyder Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.

Mr. Brooks, was born on April 16, 1926, in Snyder, TX to Benjamin F. and Sarah Elizabeth (Anthony) Brooks. He married Nancy Lou (Davis) on October 15, 1983 in Devine, TX.

He was a husband of the late Carolyn Ann Riley Brooks.

He lived in Pecos, TX for most of his early life after which he moved to greater San Antonio, TX, area. Ben served in the U.S. Coast Guard during WWII on the USS Coronado.

Ben loved being outdoors, especially spending time with his dogs and mules. He was most proud of his salvation in Jesus and read the Bible everyday, for the past 18 years.

Franklin and wife Maria Brooks, Christoval, TX

Step Daughter:
Dana and husband Bill Bell, Boerne, TX

Many Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Jeanie McGowan and Lou Spence; and his son, Michael Dave Brooks.

Visitation will be held today, February 23, 2016 from 5 PM to 6 PM and tomorrow, February 24, 2016 from 9 AM to 10 AM at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
