Surry Hudson Gillum

Mr. Surry Hudson Gillum, 93 of Snyder, TX passed away on Saturday, May 14, 2016 in Odessa.

Funeral Services for Mr. Gillum will be held on Thursday, May 19, 2016 , at 2:00 PM at 37th St. Church of Christ with Mr. Roy Rosson officiating. Internment will follow at Snyder Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.

Mr. Gillum was born on November 03, 1922 in Hermleigh, TX to Walter and Sallie(Hudson) Gillum. He married Virginia Dolores (Dulin) on June 05, 1947 in Snyder, Texas. She preceded him in death on May 7, 2013.

Mr. Gillum was a lifetime resident of Snyder. He was a rural carrier for the U.S. Post Office for 35 years and a farmer. He taught school in Dunn and Hermleigh. He was a member of Dunn Church of Christ, Life Member of the American Legion, N.R.A. and Texas Rifle Association.
