Nona (Harlan) Sheets went home to be with her Savior on May 15, 2016. She ended her 81 years on this earth surrounded by her family.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, May 27, 2016 at 1:00 PM at Emmaus Baptist Church, 16001 S. Western Ave. Oklahoma City, Oklahoma with Reverend Jim Lehew officiating. Private family graveside service will be at Fairview Cemetery in Shawnee, Oklahoma with Reverend Ben Reid officiating. Services are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
Nona was born June 14, 1934 in Ardmore, Oklahoma to Ruby and Jesse (Chandler) Harlan. She grew up in Ardmore, Oklahoma, Clarksville, Arkansas and Oklahoma City where she graduated from Central High School in 1952. After attending Central State University in Edmond, Oklahoma she married and had two children.
Nona worked as an Oil and Gas Title Analyst at the First National Bank in Oklahoma City and at the Trust Company of Oklahoma until her retirement.
Nona lived in Moore, Oklahoma for 51 years and was a faithful member of Emmaus Baptist Church and recently First Baptist Church of Snyder, Texas.
Nona will be missed by her family and remembered most for her sacrificial love. She is survived by her son, Mark Sheets of Dallas, TX; daughter Sheila Reid, son-in-law Ben Reid and granddaughter Natalie Reid of Snyder, TX; brother, Wayne Harlan and sister-in-law Ellouise Harlan of Mc Loud, OK
