After a short battle with cancer, Scott Allen Kendrick died on June 11, 2016 in Lubbock, TX, at the age of 51. He is survived by his wife, Kristen Walton Kendrick, his daughter, Natalie and his sons, Nathan and Nicholas. Mother, Carolyn Kendrick of Abilene, TX; Father & Step-mother, Phil & Kay Kendrick of Abilene, TX; brothers & sisters-in-law, Trey & Elaine Kendrick of Frisco, TX, Brad & Sheryl Kendrick of Abilene, TX, Michael & Lacy Kendrick of Abilene, TX; sister & brother-in-law, Lindy & Jimmy Moore of Portland, TX; Mother-in-law, Sally Walton of Lubbock, TX, Father-in-law, Dalton Walton, E.D. Walton of Snyder, TX, and brother-in-law, Cade Walton of Midland, TX and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, & great-nephews.

Scott was born on November 26, 1964 in Abilene, TX. He grew up in a large, loving family with three brothers and one sister. He was a graduate of Cooper High School in Abilene in 1983. In college, he was a member of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity. He graduated from Southwest Texas State University in 1990.

Scott married Kristen Walton on October 3, 1992, at Horseshoe Bay. They started their life together in Abilene, TX, and then moved to Cedar Park where they resided for 17 years before moving to Snyder.

Scott was a sports enthusiast with a love for coaching and being involved in his children’s activities. He loved the outdoors whether it be boating, skiing or hunting. He was strong in his faith, which led him through all the obstacles in his life.

When diagnosed with brain cancer on May 15, 2016, he remained dedicated to his work and in his will to fight his illness. He continued to be brave and iron-willed even throughout his final moments.

Services will be held Wednesday, June 15, 2016, at 2pm at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home in Snyder, TX. Burial will be immediately following at the Snyder Cemetery. Donations may be made to The Hope Lodge in Lubbock, TX.
