Mr. Virgil Manning Walton, 93 of Snyder, TX passed away on Tuesday, August 09, 2016 in Snyder.

Graveside Service for Mr. Walton will be held on Thursday, August 11, at 10 AM at Snyder Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.

Virgil Manning Walton was born on December 01, 1922 in Snyder, Texas to Isaiah and Nancy (Hamrick) Walton. He married Ann Rhodes on December 08, 1945 in Lubbock, Texas. She preceded him in death on November 17, 2015.

Mr. Walton was a WWII veteran, serving in the Army Air Corp., he was Chief Maintenance Engineer at Cogdell Memorial Hospital for 37 years, a cotton farmer, licensed plumber and helped build Cogdell Memorial Hospital. He was a loyal supporter of Snyder High School football team, never missing a game or practice for many years.

He is survived by

Raymond Walton, Stanton, TX

10) Great Grandchildren

1) Great-Great Grandchild

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, five brothers, five sisters and one grandson.
